Hasbara Fellowships

Hasbara Fellowships is a leadership development seminar for top Jewish university students from across North America. Due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, there is a necessity to develop young Jewish leaders who are educated and knowledgeable about Israeli history and politics, as well as capable of communicating a pro-Israel message to the Diaspora community, specifically on college campuses.

Remedy at Carnegie Mellon!

Hasbara Fellow Joshua Mann’s hard work came to fruition when their Israel group, Tartans for Israel, put on a fantastic show with Remedy of the Wu Tang Clan with Killah Priest! Because of Tartans for Israel’s efforts, over 160 students were able to receive Remedy’s uplifting message of pride and devotion to Israel. Josh did a great job forming coalitions with other student organizations to encourage cross cultural dialogue and contribute to the overall theme of diversity and multiculturalism very visible at the event. Outside of the event the students put together a colorful display about diversity in Israel with the help of many Hasbara Fellowships materials. Carnegie Mellon’s school newspaper, The Tartan, featured a lead article on the great event that you can read. Also, click this link to see more pictures of the event!
